1st Liss Scouts are delighted to share that we currently have several places available in our Beaver Colony between now and the summer. If you have a child who is 6 or will turn 6 in 2026, this is a wonderful opportunity for them to start their Scouting journey.

What Beavers Do

Beavers is all about fun, friendship, and trying new things in a safe, supportive environment. Our programme is packed with activities that help young children grow in confidence and curiosity, including:

  • Outdoor adventures and nature exploration
  • Sleepovers and camps
  • Creative projects and hands‑on making
  • Games that build teamwork and problem‑solving
  • Learning new skills through simple challenges
  • Visits, themed evenings, and the occasional local trip
  • Earning badges that recognise effort, kindness, and achievement

Beavers is often a child’s first step into the wider Scouting family, and it’s a brilliant way for them to develop independence while having a lot of fun.

When and Where We Meet

Our Beaver Colony meets every Friday evening, 5:45pm – 7:00pm, at the 1st Liss Scout HQ, West Liss Pavilion.

If your child would like to join, or if you’d like to find out more, we’d love to hear from you. Beavers is a joyful, energetic start to Scouting, and we’re excited to welcome new families into the group.
