Beaver Scouts are young people (boys and girls) usually aged between six and eight years old. They belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family. Young people can join Beaver Scouts in the three months leading up to their sixth birthday, provided we have space. Our Beavers move up to the Cubs when they are 8.
Easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts, Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others. Have a look at our trip to Scout HQ and just how much we managed to fit in.

The 1st Liss Beaver Colony meets on Friday evenings between 5:45 and 7:00. For information about the current state of our waiting list, please see this page and then see out membership enquiry page.
We are always on the lookout for additional helper, both regular and occasional, you don’t need to have a child in the section to help, none of the leaders do.
If you would like more information about the Beavers, Acorn the Beaver Leader can be contacted through the form on our contact page.
We have a great team of leaders, Acorn is helped out each week by the Assistant Beaver Leaver, Coconut and Mango, we also have regular help from parents Chestnut and Spruce.
