Silence across the site until 8am this morning, with cooking duty the first Cubs to emerge from their tents.

After breakfast and bedding rolls, the Cubs were back to their block bots from the day before, adding some details with washers and colouring pens.

There’s even rumours that some Cubs have had showers!

The afternoon brought the next activity, with the Cubs taking on the “Gladiator Challenge”, a climbing challenge with obstacles like rope ladders, nets and tires. There was some excellent teamwork from the belay teams, and great encouragement for the Cubs’ climbing.

Some free time before dinner saw a return of the frisbees, and an impromptu rounders game set up by the Scouts.

As usual, after dinner and cake, there was a round of songs around the campfire with hot chocolate, with the Cubs thinking up new verses for “Quartermaster’s Stores”.
