The cubs were up bright and early this morning – some awake as early as 5am!

A quick breakfast brought the first camp duties, with one Six helping cook while another cleaned the loo block and the third tidied the site. With duties rotating each meal the Cubs will all experience every task.

An action-packed day lay ahead, with the first main activity at 9am – the low ropes course. The cubs worked together “spotting” each other on the obstacles, along with various mini games around the course.

After low ropes we barely got back to site before heading out again to the bouldering wall. The Cubs had great fun racing each other around the wall and seeing who could hang on the longest!

In the afternoon, the Cubs were out for yet another activity – this time archery. Each Cub got to fire six arrows, and play a game to see where they were going on holiday, before a competition to see which team could score the most points!

Following archery, the Cubs were back on site getting started on their first Dragon Camp activity – dragon sock puppets! The Cubs could use a selection of pom-poms, card and tissue paper to design their dragon puppet, and starting work on some puppet show ideas! After dinner there was time for a wide game and a quick sing-song around the campfire.
