Greetings from the Big Beaver Sleepover House.
Day 1 : 10:30pm
Its 10:30 pm and the Logemates moved into the Big Beaver Sleepover House only 4 hours ago, though it already seems much longer for the leaders. We would like to say that all the Beavers are tucked up in bed and fast asleep, sadly for the leaders they have only just got back from the camp fire and are tucking into hot dogs and hot chocolate. In the short time the Beavers have been in the house they have settled into their room, emptied their bags onto the floor, made indoor camp fires and played a wide game outside. There has been one early eviction as Birch, who has put all the effort into organising the sleepover, had to leave during the evening as she was feeling very unwell.
The facilities in the Big Beaver Sleepover House are fantastic (apart from the limited parking), runways end was purpose-built only 3 years ago and the Beavers five to a room with a bathroom for each room. The main hall where the indoor activities are is very light with huge glass walls.
Day 2: 12:45am
It almost 1am in the Big Beaver Sleepover House and the leaders are all still awake wishing the Beavers were all asleep…. most of them are. Baloo has blown the weeks food budget on a Dominos pizza. Brown Beaver is now on her 7th cub of coco.
Day 2: 6:31am
The first Beavermates started to wake up early , fortunately some of the Lodgemates completed last nights task of getting some sleep. Big Brown Beaver has set the colouring in task for the Lodgemates in the 6am PJs colouring club so they can earn breakfast for the house and let everyone else get a few extra minutes sleep.
Day 2: 1pm
After a heart breakfast of cereal, bacon, eggy bread and beans, the Lodgemates have been out and about doing some orienteering, making bird-feeders and soap carving.
Big Beaver Sleepover House also has a visit from Big Brown Beaver’s Big Sister (ACCB) who had a good look round and a chat in the Diary Room.
As all the Lodgemates had been really well-behaved over the weekend and the leaders looked exhausted it was agreed that there should be a mass eviction after lunch and handing the Beavers back to their parents.
The weekend was such a success the leaders are already taking about having one next year, just after we get some sleep.
Where lost property was named, it has gone back to the relevant Colony Leader, unnamed property can be claimed here.
